The Journey of a Cashmere Sweater

ZCashmere was born in 2012 when Sue Fleming began refashioning previously owned sweaters into beautiful, unique, and luxurious 100% cashmere garments.

Her style has evolved a lot over the years including designing and creating her own fabrics and tapestries.

She now incorporates summer weight cashmere into her product line. This light weight fiber is sourced from Inner Mongolia from goats that are raised organically.

Introducing new work in 2024 which includes the ‘Whisper’ series constructed of featherweight cashmere and an innovative layering of fabrics and fibers to create the most beautiful accessories for the fashion conscious individual.

The entire process is sustainable and traceable.

Once Sue has gathered her raw material, the creative dance can begin. She is free to select color and pattern. The pieces begin to form a mosaic. Accent colors pop out at her aiming the way for extensive hand-stitching and layering for a result both practical and sophisticated. No detail is overlooked. For final embellishment, Sue adds her signature dot(s).

The life cycle of cashmere continues as Sue fabricates more garments and her clientele grows. ZCashmere (the Z is there to remind us that every end is really the beginning of something new) invites you to experience the most luxurious fiber on our precious planet.
